Uniserve has been in business for over twenty years in the Greater Vancouver area. They were looking to update their website so that it was both modern and user friendly. In addition to creating a few new features, Uniserve wanted to combine three websites into one, remove some duplicated content, and have everything in a new easily administered Content Management System (CMS).

Content Management System
We chose to utilize WordPress as the new Content Management System for Uniserve’s website for a number of reasons. First, WordPress is an open source project that has a large development community regularly keeping the software up to date with the latest security fixes. Second, there are also thousands of extensions that can add capabilities to the base CMS, from Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tweaks to Google Analytics integration, and simple web forms. The administrative control panel is also straightforward and does not require any technical knowledge for users to modify their site content.
In addition to the readily available plugins, Uniserve had a need for some custom extensions that were specific to their operation. Claro Solutions created a plugin to embed a domain search directly into the post, as well as another to display the information from a CSV file in an easy-to-locate format.
